Hi guys
I am sure many of you ex Pocket-Bikers will recall a young racer at Parklands and later at Archerfield who raced from the very earliest of days, growing in the sport to be the 1st GRC rider in the State - Ryan Williams.

Ryan, now 20, had an accident yesterday riding his recently purchased 125 Aprilia road bike. He was apparently going though a roundabout when a car entered and collided with him.

Ryan is currently in the Gold Coast hospital in a critical but stable condition in an induced coma.

Visitors are not permitted at the moment, but anyone who would like to send their best wishes are more than welcome to Email them to me and I will pass them on to his family to read to Ryan, who are constantly by his side.

I will keep you updated with Ryan's progress if you wish as news comes to hand

I get these emails from the minimoto australia forum and i log on and have a look thru and i get shivers up my spine.I have just spent 2 hours catching up on the last couple of years.
Kurt Pierre has had a sad ending and i will never forget him because of his attention attracting rides with his sparking knee pads.He put on spectacular shows with the original Parkland heros. (what fantastic saturday nights) And now Ryan Wiliams has been injured in a traffic accident as well.Me and my family wish you well Ryan.You were always a gutsy kid with a big voice in a new sport that attracted a lot of mongrels trying to control it for their own profit or their own egos.

hey guys, thanks for the well wishes!finally got out of the place today! so glad to be home..but now im stuck here for months to protect my liver..any bumps and im a goner.

Guys...just dont ride on the road aye..never going to again in my life. Cars just dont give a damn. Was travelling to work at 5.30am through southport..entered a roundabout and as I was going through it a car came speeding through without giving way - apparently didnt see me. And basically I collided with his front right guard...and dont remember much haha...

But yeh,basically...still very sore...and would rather be at work..but what can you do. Lucky to still be here I guess.
