ARCHERFIELD NEWS 12TH APRIL
What an excellent Queensland Title we had on Sunday. After getting to the track at 6.30am and being faced with the dilemma – will we run or should we cancel and reschedule to another date? The rain just kept coming and at 10.00am we made the decision to go ahead regardless .
Although several of our regulars decided to take the opportunity of the four day break to go holidaying, numbers were fine as they were replaced with a few of our old racers who we had not seen for quite a while.
The days’ events were incident free and although we had sixty-eight races to get through, we still managed to get it done in reasonable time. The motard boys came down from Gladstone and put on an awesome display of riding ability and as expected, took out first and second in the division. Local rider Grant Klein had to fight hard to hang on to third place on his newly acquired stock GTX4 machine.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all competitors who supported the Queensland Titles and congratulations to those who stood on the podium at days’ end.
